Darren Moore focused on the character of his players after Albion's 4-1 win over Reading.

The scoreline flattered the hosts who could have been at least three goals down after Reading midfielder Leandro Bacuna opened the scoring.

Moore's men found their stride after the break with Dwight Gayle scoring twice before Harvey Barnes and Kyle Bartley found the net.

"We had to work hard for it and fight for it," Moore admitted.

"I thought the change in the result came just after half-time, with the goal early doors, it knocked the wind out of the sails of Reading and gave us fresh impetus to go on and win the game.

"When the chances came we took them very, very well."

Moore added: "That's the fighing spirit you've seen with this team.

"Having gone back in again (at half-time) like we did on Wednesday night at 2-0 down, at 1-0 down, we knew we had to get together and, as a team, we did that again.

"It's always good to show those fighting qualities and I'm really pleased we did it at home in front of our home support. I thought we ran out worthy winners in the end."
