Albion skipper Chris Brunt has endorsed the club’s deadline-day signings.

Liam Ridgewell and Keith Andrews arrived from Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers respectively to bolster Albion’s ranks.

Brunt called the signings “excellent business” on Twitter for the “important couple (of) months ahead”.

The deadline-day duo join Scottish youngster Scott Allan in completing the club’s transfers during the January window.

Ridgewell, a 27-year-old defender, and 31-year-old midfielder Andrews share a number of years experience playing in the Premier League. Brunt said the “two experience Premier League players” will help “push us up the table”.

Brunt's comments come days after James Morrison attacked the club's lack of transfer activity in January.
