Defender: Three points most important

Craig Dawson praised the togetherness of Albion's side after his teammates' 2-1 win over Swansea.

Albion were behind early when Swans forward Ollie McBurnie fired home after Sam Johnstone had fumbled a shot.

But Dawson equalised only minutes later when his looping header found the net from Matt Phillips' corner.

His partner in defence Ahmed Hegazi then scored from a similar corner before half time to give Albion the lead.

The Baggies were rarely troubled after the break and, although Dawson admits it was far from eye-catching, he was delighted to leave Wales with all three points.

"It's a massive three points and we worked very hard," he said.

"It wasn't the best performance but the three points is what matters.

"We limited their chances and showed good character to come from a goal down.

"There's a lot of characters in the dressing room - togetherness is high.

"It's important we keep our run going and the fans stay behind us.

"The clean sheets will come but the most important thing is we're winning football matches.

"There's a lot of tough games coming but the group is strong."
