Shan keen to build on momentum after Hull win

James Shan reckons Albion's victory over Hull City will build momentum for the Baggies ahead of the Championship Play Offs.

Albion's fourth home win on the spin saw them again come from behind to win 3-2 at The Hawthorns with goals from Dwight Gayle and Kieran Gibbs.

“I’m pleased we’ve gone four from four at home, which is a big ask and task,”said Shan.

“We started the first 15 minutes of the second half very flat but testament to the players again.

“They showed character and resilience and again our quality shone through, I think, in the final 30 minutes of the second half.

“I’d like us to have more of a clean sheet mentality, because the two goals were soft.”

“We’ve obviously got one eye on the Play-Offs and the schedule so we have to forward plan.

“But I’ve said from the get-go that we need a one-game mentality and we’ll do that again on Monday at Reading.

“It’s just maybe a case of making sure that we get as many players peaking as possible, should we enter that Play-Off stage.

“Momentum and confidence is fantastic. We’re well aware of what our home form was like before the last four home games and we’re well aware of the confidence winning can bring."
