Albion lost 1-0 at Champions League chasing Arsenal following Olivier Giroud's goal.
Giroud scored in the 14th minute with a header from a corner after poor marking from Craig Dawson.
The Baggies pushed for an equaliser after the break but were unable to find a goal with Graham Dorrans and Dawson coming the closest.
