Albion’s record signing Borja Valero has left The Hawthorns to rejoin Real Mallorca on loan after only a year in England.  The 24-year-old midfielder joined which much promise for a fee of around £4.7 million but failed to impress after a difficult first season in English football.

The former Real Madrid midfielder made 34 appearances in all competitions last season but failed to find the net once and, since the departure of former boss Tony Mowbray, has only started one game this season – against Rotherham in the Carling Cup.

The La Liga side also have the option to purchase the midfielder at the end of his loan contract.
