Darren Moore has continued his first team squad reconstruction after releasing Gareth McAuley, Boaz Myhill and Claudio Yacob on free transfers.

Moore personally thanked all three for their 'loyal service' to the club after making a combined total of 484 appearances between them.

“They have been absolute stalwarts of this club and they should all be proud of their time here.

“It was a very difficult decision not to offer each of them a new contract and I did not take that decision lightly.

“It was, however, a decision I felt was in the best interests of the football club.”

McAuley and Yacob were both signed as free agents and went on to play significant parts as Albion established themselves in the Premier League.

Northern Ireland defender McAuley made more than 200 apperances in seven years at the club, scoring 17 times.

Argentian Yacob featured 175 times in Albion colours, scoring once against Arsenal.

Myhill, who joined back in 2010 from Hull City, made 82 appearances for the club in all competitions.
