Albion have today boosted their left-sided defensive options with the capture of highly rated England Under-21 international, Joe Mattock.
The 19-year-old, who was at The Hawthorns on Saturday, has signed a three-year contract, plus a further year in the club’s favour.
The Leicester born defender made his debut at the tender age of just 16 but quickly secured regular first-team football and went on to make 73 appearances, including 12 from the bench, at The Walkers Stadium.
Mattock has been capped by England at five different levels and played an important part in helping Leicester gain promotion last season featuring 33 times. The defender is expected to make his debut in tomorrow’s fixtures against Bury (KO 19.45).
