Albion have been given a pre-season boost with the news that James Morrison, Gareth McAuley, Hal Robson-Kanu and Matt Phillips should all be fit the pre-season campaign.

Morrison, McAuley and Robson-Kanu were all injured on international duty with their respective countries.

Scotland international picked up a knee injury against England and a thigh injury forced Gareth McAuley off for Northern Ireland.

But Albion doctor Mark Gillett hopes to have all four players back in training before the season opener against Bournemouth.

"There may be a requirement for some careful management throughout the pre-season schedule but there is nothing to prevent us thinking all four will be 'good to go' on August 12," he said.

Matt Phillips' hamstring injury has been managed over the summer after the pacy winger missed the final part of the season.

"We took a decision with Matty at the end of the season that we would focus on him being fully ready for this pre-season," he added.
