Craig Beattie could be ruled out of Saturday's trip to Hull City (KO 17.20pm) after picking up a thigh injury during the week's reserve fixture against Nottingham Forest.

The Scottish international scored Albion's only goal in the 5-1 reverse at Aggborough and although picked up a knock played the whole 90 minutes. Beattie now faces a race against time to be fit for the trip north to the KC Stadium.

"There is a question mark over Craig Beattie, who hasn't trained," Mowbray said.

"He got kneed in his thigh and is a doubt but he should be okay in a day or two."

Mowbray received better news when injury victims Paul Robinson (rib), Roman Bednar (calf) and Carl Hoefkens (thigh) have all been declared fully-fit for the clash. The Albion boss also revealed the players he rested for Saturday's FA Cup clash have all benefited from a Saturday off.

"Paul, Kevin (Phillips) and Carl have trained and are all fine," Mowbray continued.

"Generally we're alright.

"I hope they've all benefited from the rest.

"They've all had two or three days off this week.

"I felt that was needed for the players.

"They were trying to give everything at Charlton but were falling below their normal standards.

"Let's hope we're back to our best at the weekend."
