Tony Pulis singled out Chris Brunt and James Morrison after the pair starred in Albion's midfield as the Baggies brushed aside Burnley.

Morrison and Brunt ran the show in the first half as the Baggies raced into a 3-0 lead at half time - with Morrison adding Albion's second.

The Baggies were comfortable again the second half and made it 4-0 when Salomon Rondon spun and shot to put the icing on the cake.

“Having Brunty and Mozza back has obviously helped us because they are good technical players who look after the ball so well,” he said.

“I’m pleased for Fletch to have got his goal.

“He takes on a huge burden as captain of Scotland and Albion but he handles it superbly.

“It was also good to see Salomon finish his night with the goal he deserved.

“He has really settled now, his English is coming on and he doesn’t have to follow Claudio around all the time now for him to translate.

“But it really is all about the team performance.

“Burnley can be very difficult to break down when they get set and we worked very hard at how to disrupt that.

“Sometimes it comes off and it’s pleasing when it does.”
