Tony Mowbray has insisted on loan midfielder, Youssouf Mulumbu, has all the attributes to become a Premier League hit after the youngster made his first Premier League start at White Hart Lane.

The PSG player’s time at The Hawthorns has been interrupted by injury since his switch in January but has figured for Albion in the four matches after battling back from injury.

Now, as Mulumbu searches for full match-fitness, Mowbray has predicted a bright future for the Frenchmen – but has yet to make a decision on whether to offer him a full-time contract.

“He did well,” admitted the Baggies boss.

"White Hart Lane is a great arena to play in when you've got 40,000 people watching.

"You know you're in the Premier League when you're playing at Tottenham.

"He's a young guy and I'm still trying to gauge his temperament to see if he's ready for the Premier League.

"I think he showed at the weekend that he is more than capable.

"There is more to come from him and he does possess certain qualities that our team has missed.

"As we move on, while no definitive decision has been made about his future, I can see a young player with the qualities that may be able to move us on."
