Tony Pulis praised the resilience of his players after the Baggies made it back-to-back 1-0 wins.

Hal Robson-Kanu stepped off the bench to score the opening goal before being shown his marching orders in an eventuful cameo.

Burnley pushed 10-man Albion all the way but were unable to find a way past a solid rearguard.

“I can’t praise the players enough,” Pulis said after Albion moved into 2nd in the league.

“We came here with four top players unavailable because of injury and really had to dig in to get our result.

“What Burnley do they do very well and you never get an easy game here. When Hal left the pitch they threw everything at us and made it as difficult as possible for us.

“But the spirit these lads have to help each other and fight for each other is second to none. They deserve tremendous credit.”
