This was onlt one of the bad decisions that Megson was Furious, it got worse for the baggies when defender Igor Balis, who put West Brom one-up, was said to have passed the ball back to keeper Joe Murphy after connecting with Nolberto Solano's 45th-minute cross six yards from goal.

Foy immediately awarded a free-kick and Shearer ran on to Solano's tap to blast home the first of his two goals on the day from just seven yards. Roberts was booked for his protests after the equaliser, and Megson admitted he could understand the striker's frustration.
