Bournemouth point disappoints Pulis

Tony Pulis left his old side Bournemouth disappointed after seeing his side concede a late equaliser to continue Albion’s poor form.

Salomon Rondon headed Albion in front in the first half before Chris Gardner missed Albion’s third penalty in a row.

Matt Richie then headed home from close range after Claudio Yacob’s mistake. The Baggies then came within a whisker of the three points when Craig Dawson’s late shot cannoned back off the post.

“We're disappointed, obviously, the players have worked so hard today," said Pulis.

"Bournemouth played the way they play, they didn't really cause us many problems. We're a little bit disappointed with one or two decisions.

"Harry Arter really should have been booked first half for pushing McAuley, then there's a blatant handball which he also doesn't get booked for, and the challenge on Fletcher is a straight red.

"The lads are also saying their goalkeeper was off the line for our penalty, I haven't seen it, but Gards should still score. He's really, really disappointed in there.

"We've had five penalties this season and missed four. We should blame ourselves for that, nobody else.

"The attitude of the players, the way we played, it just didn't run for us in the final third. And then Dawson hitting the post, Saido with a great chance at the end.

"To come to Bournemouth and play like we did in boiling hot conditions against a good footballing team, who scored from a long throw-in, was very reassuring in lots of ways.

"We deserved to win the game."
