Carter Plays Down Baggies Talk

Media rpeorts had suggested that the Baggies were to lodge an estimated £1.8million bid for the Blues' 21-year-old midfielder but the player himself has admitted that he has heard nothing about a move to the Hawthorns.

"The first I heard about it was when I read of it in the papers and people started calling me," Carter said.

"I'll speak to the gaffer and see what he says and what his plans are for me. I'll then take things from there when I know more myself."
