Cox finally finds his feet

Simon Cox believes he’s fully settled into life at The Hawthorns following his summer switch from Swindon Town.  The former Robins striker suffered a frustrating start to his Albion career due to a niggling injury and the early season form of Roman Bednar and Chris Wood.

After scoring five goals in his last four games Cox believes he’s now finding his feet in the Championship with his rich vein of form resulting from his daily training schedule.

“There's no difference with what I've been doing," said Cox.

"But what I've been doing since I've been here is come in early and do extra bits in the gym.

"I go out to train, maybe do more with Ade Mafe, and then go home.

"That's my routine and has been since day one.

"It's been repetitive.

"It did take a little while for me to settle in and that was always going to be the case, although I'd hoped it wouldn't be.

"There are new people, you've got to sort out the house, my other half's Welsh so she had to move up.

"You worry about those kind of things.

"But now I'm here, I'm settled and we're all happy.

"Footballers are the same as everyone.

"If you move jobs there is going to be a period of settling in.

"It's a bunch of guys we work with, there's banter which helps, and now I'm settled and so happy."
