Former Albion captain Curtis Davies today completed his switch to Villa Park where the petulant defender spent the majority of last season on loan. The injury prone 23-year-old became Albion's most expensive defender on deadline-day back in 2005 before asking for a transfer following the club's failure to win promotion after defeat in the Play-Off Final to Derby in 2007.

Davies has signed a four-year contract at Villa Park for a fee believed to be in the region of £8 million pound. In total, Davies made 73 appearances for the Baggies, scoring three times.
