Roberto Di Matteo has revealed his players have been focusing their attentions in finishing school this week after drawing two consecutive blanks.  After failing to find the net against Swansea and Coventry the Baggies slipped to third in the division picking up just five points in as many games and scoring four times in the same period.

Despite the recent drought in front of goal Albion still find themselves the third top scorers in the Championship with Di Matteo generally pleased with the offensive capabilities of his side.

“We are working on that topic but I think we have had chances to win games," the former MK Dons boss said.

"If you look at some matches, teams sometimes only have half a chance but convert it and win.

"At the moment, we are creating numerous chances but we're not taking them and that has probably cost us in the last two games.

"It's not just about the strikers.

"It's a team effort.

"This season, most of our goals have really come from the midfield area.

"We always have sessions where we work on finishing and scoring goals but I think we'll be having a few extra ones this week."
