Korean Republic star Do-Heon Kim believes his move to The Hawthorns can help the midfielder achieve his Premiership ambitions. The midfielder made his first appearance in Albion colours as a 74th minute substitute during Albion's emphatic win at Coventry with Mowbray backing the deadline-day loan signing to succeed at The Hawthorns and fulfil his personal goals.

"I want to improve this team and club and make a contribution," Kim said.

"I want to take things step-by-step to get to the Premier League.

"This team has got potential and I have always kept my eyes on West Brom."

Albion boss Tony Mowbray backed the midfielder's top-flight ambitions as he admitted how pleased he is with the 46-times capped international during his short spell at The Hawthorns.

"The first time we saw him we liked his technical ability," Mowbray said.

"We saw signs of his ability to pass the ball long and short and keep the ball for the team.

"He did very well for the 20 minutes he was on the field on Saturday.

"I like his personality.

"Even though we can't speak to one another, you can see he has a nice temperament.

"I'm sure he'll fit in very well."
