"This is a move in the right direction," he said.
"Playing for a manager like Bryan Robson will be a great thing for me to do.
"I'm happy to have made the move to West Bromwich.
"It was hard to leave Wigan but when you want to further your career these sort of things happen.
"West Bromwich are looking to go that extra step. They have already achieved their aim of remaining in the Premiership and they are looking to kick on."
