The agent acting on the behalf of Zoltan Gera, Sam Stapleton, has been charged with "failing to enter into a written representation contract with the player and/or failing to lodge the representation contract with The FA", according to a statement on the governing body's website following the fan’s favourite Bosman switch to Fulham in July 2008.

Gera, who made over 100 appearances for the Baggies scoring 21 times, turned down a new contract at The Hawthorns in favour of a switch to west London after helping Albion secure promotion months before.  However, Stapleton is alleged to have breached regulations after negotiating with Albion prior to helping Fulham secure the Hungarian international’s services.

Stapleton, who was previous charged with improper conduct following fellow Hungarian Gabor Gyepes’ move to Wolves from Ferencvaros in July 2005, has 14 days to respond to the charges.
