Ahmed Hegazy is set to become Albion's third signing of the summer after agreeing to join on a season's long loan.

The 26-year-old, who is known as the 'Nesta of the Pyramids' will join for an initial loan fee of around £850,000 with a view of a permenant transfer of £4,000,000.

Hegazy, who previously played for Fiorentina in Serie A, has made 39 appearances for his country, scoring once, after he made his debut back in 2011 against Sierra Leone as a 20-year-old.

Speaking to Egyptian website FilGoal.com, Al Ahly's Director of Football Sayed Abdel-Hafiz said a deal had been agreed with the Baggies.

"Hegazy chose to play for West Bromwich. We also preferred to allow his departure, as we didn't want to force him to stay."

So far this summer, Jay Rodriguez and Chinese youngster Yuning Zhang have signed for the club - although Zhang was immediately loaned to Werder Bremen.
