Alan Irvine wants to bring cup success to The Hawthorns during his reign as Baggies boss.

The head coach says Albion will not devalue the importance of a successful cup run this season and has vowed to pick a strong side this evening against Oxford United in the Capital Cup second round.

“I am not someone who would be saying we would not be approaching it as an important game. It is very important.

“I would like a cup run. I am sure our fans would love a cup run. And I am sure the board will love a cup run and that is what we will try and get.”
