Jason Koumas Transfer Request Rejected

The Wales international midfielder is believed to have asked for a move away from the Hawthorns after becoming frustrated with talks of a new improved contract with the club.

"His transfer request has been flatly refused," said manager Gary Megson.

"We want him to stay here and continue progressing as a player, as he has done during almost two years with us."

Koumas still has two years left on his current deal with The Baggies.
