Jonno gunning for another win

Jonathan Greening has told his teammates that Arsenal are not unbeatable on the eve of their trip to The Hawthorns. The Baggies skipper was part of the side which beat Arsene Wenger's men 2-1 back in October 2005 as Albion came from behind thanks to goals from Kanu and a wonder-strike from Darren Carter.

The Gunners' side that day included the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires and Kolo Toure and were widely expected to stroll to victory. The visitors are again the bookies' favourites for tomorrow's game (KO 19.45) however Greening is no mood for defeatism.

"People will say and assume Arsenal will beat us but we have to go there and put a good performance in and do our best," the former Manchester United man said.

"I remember us beating them a few years ago when Darren Carter got a brilliant goal, so we've got to try and do that again.

"We need to draw on it.

"It was a great performance that day.

"On any day, if you play well, you have a chance.

"Carts scored with a left foot volley - let's hope someone can do the same for us tomorrow."

Greening, who only returned to first-team action on Saturday after missing five weeks with a medial ligament injury, is hoping his cameo at Goodison Park was enough to force his way into Tony Mowbray's plans.

"I hope to start," the skipper added.

"I'll be doing more strengthening work so we will see how it goes.

"It's up to the manager.

"If I play great, if not, then fine, I'll be on the bench.

"Whoever plays will need to be at their best."
