"I'm a very positive person and I'm not thinking of the club going down," Kanu told BBC Sport.
"I'd rather give my best like every other person in the team to keep them up.
"I love the fans and would be happy to remain if possible until the end of my career.
"Everyone is saying we are going down but we the players feel otherwise and are ready to give our best all the time.
"But if the team goes down I will leave."
