Kim knee injury blow

Albion's left-midfield curse struck only a minute into their trip to Middlesbrough with Kim Do-Heon being stretchered off after suffering a serious knee injury. The Korean Republic international regular twisted his knee and has suffered suspected medial ligament damage.

Do-Heon will be sent for a scan on Monday with Albion hoping the skilful midfielder could return in six weeks if medial damage is confirmed. The worst case scenario would be for Kim to have damaged the much maligned cruciate ligament which would rule him out for at least six months.

"Kim needs to go and get a scan," Tony Mowbray said after yesterday's victory.

"The doctor is saying it is at least a medial knee ligament problem.

"We'll wait and see what the scan says and hope it is only medial ligament damage to keep him out for six weeks, and that it's not any worse than that."
