Leeds Boss Denies Sakiri Interest

Rumours were rife that the Macedonia international skipper was set to sign a two year deal with the Coca Cola Championship side but Blackwell claims that he hasn't even made an enquiry about the player.

"There is absolutely no truth in the suggestions that we are signing the player," the Leeds boss told the Leeds Evening Post.

"No-one has spoken to anyone about him and I have got no interest in him whatsoever.

"He's not someone I've even watched. I don't know where these reports come from, and the only thing I can think of is that it has come from an agent whose player obviously wants to leave the club.

"How better to create an auction than by sticking Leeds United's name alongside him?"

Baggies boss Bryan Robson confirmed this week that Sakiri is surplus to requirements at The Hawthorns.
