Albion and England Under-21 defender Joe Mattock has been charged with assaulting two men and two women after a disturbance during the early hours of Sunday morning in his home town of Leicester.  Mattock, a summer signing from Leicester City, was not arrested at the scene but voluntarily attended a police station on Tuesday.

The left-back, who has won five England Under-21 caps, was held overnight and has been charged with three counts of causing actual bodily harm and one offence of common assault.

Mattock is now due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court later this month.
