Mattock sent for scan

Joe Mattock has been sent to hospital for an x-ray to determine the extent of his foot injury.  The England Under-21 International was carried off after 30 minutes following a collision with Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard. 

Roberto Di Matteo is now sweating on his first-choice left-back’s fitness ahead of next Saturday’s clash against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough (KO 3pm).

"It's too early to say what's wrong with Joe,” the Baggies boss explained.

"We'll assess him over the weekend.

"He'll have an X-ray and we'll see."
