His second cap hangs in the balance tonight when he suffered a knee injury whilst training for Scotland ahead of the match coming up against the Faroe Islands. Derek is currently serving a three match ban after a two footed challenge on Nicky Butt on the opening day of the sesaon. Scott Dobie is to appear despite being sidelined at the weekend against Fulham due to a shoulder injury.
