"Jason isn't that kind of player," Megson said after the 1-1 draw.
"It was for two fouls and the referee has decided that he goes. There were other people on that pitch who had maybe seven or eight fouls and nothing was done."
On Gaardsoe's dismissal Megson was even more mystified: "I'm not really sure what it was for. I'm not being stupid, I didn't see it. I presume he has fouled him.
"Whatever it was for had been going on for 89 minutes before that and if the referee decides that is a sending off then I think that over the rest of his career he will be sending four or five players off every game."
