Megson: Seven Steps To Go

Geoff Horsfields injury time winner against The Tractor Boys took the Albion back on level points with Norwich at the top of the first division table and within touching distance of a swift return to the Premiership with seven games remaining.

"This was a fantastic three points," Megson said after the 3-2 win.

"We've got great character and we kept going.

"We were probably lucky to only go in 1-0 down. When we came in at half-time we didn't think we needed particularly re-organising, just that a lot of our players had not played like they can.

"In the second half we caused more of a problem for Ipswich. There is a lot said about tactics and formations, but the width came from people running and getting themselves out wide.

"I think we were an accident waiting to happen in the first half, I would have take 0-0 at half-time."

"We've taken six points off Ipswich this season but I told Joe Royle that they were very good and I think they'll make the play-offs," he added.

"It's a step for us but that's all, and there's another seven steps to go."
