The Baggies have not won in nine games and are just one place off the foot of the Premiership by goal difference from West Ham. But Peace has told the former Stoke and Norwich manager that the Baggies board will not panic after their recent slump. Megson has also been praised for West Brom's promotion to the Premiership last year, for his motivational skills.
'Gary has done a fantastic job. In fact, he over-achieved last season in getting us promoted,' Peace told the Birmingham Evening Mail.
'We are doing everything we can to try to stay at this level. What continues to surprise me is the way he motivates the team.
'Long may he continue to do so. We are pulling in the same direction to try to do our best for the club.
'There are only a few points separating a lot of teams and that's how it's going to be until the end of the season - a fight.'
