Ishmael Miller could be out for up to six weeks with a hamstring strain after limping off against Cardiff City. The 'Moston Menace' was picked ahead of Roman Bednar for the Cardiff fixture however his afternoon ended in despair in the 13th minute after only returning from a knee injury four-weeks ago.

Albion
will now have to wait for the results of a scan before discovering how long the ten-goal striker will be sidelined for.

"Ishmael has got a hamstring strain," Tony Mowbray commented.

"We don't know how serious it is at the moment - we'll wait and see.

"It could be anything from two to six weeks.

"We'll get a scan done tomorrow."

Miller's injury enabled in-form Roman Bednar to make an appearance from the substitute's bench and continue his impressive scoring run of ten goals in just twelve games. The on loan Hearts striker's goal in the 35th minute invigorated the Baggies before half-time and now looks set for a run of games after Miller's injury.

"Roman's been the same since he started playing for us," the Albion boss continued.

"He's almost on a goal a game, he's playing exceptionally well and let's hope he can continue in that vein.

"He started on the bench today because he had a very tough 120 minutes in midweek against Charlton and Ishmael didn't.

"If Ishmael has got a hamstring problem of any seriousness then Roman looks set for a prolonged run in the team.

"Let's hope he keeps scoring goals at the rate he is at the moment."
