Dichio's one month loan deal with the Lions came to end after their 1-1 draw against Stoke City on saturday in which the Baggies forward bagged his fifth goal in three games.

"We're trying to keep Daniele and the chairman is working on it but finances are tight," said Wilkins.

"He's a great character and has exceptional ability but if he goes we will just have to wish him well."
