Roberto Di Matteo has been given mixed next on Albion’s walking wounded.

Top scorer Peter Odemwingie is set to be out for another week with the calf strain which sidelined him against Aston Villa on Saturday, but Jonas Olsson is expected back in first team action in January.

Odemwingie still has not trained with Roberto Di Matteo admitting the star striker is a “big doubt” for the weekend.

But the Baggies boss revealed the news is more positive for Swedish defender Olsson who has been missing with a torn Achilles.

“He is coming along and we are targeting the beginning of January or mid-January,” said Di Matteo.

“So we will keep our fingers crossed that he is available for the second half of the season.

“He has been a big player for us.

“He is frustrated and when you are injured that happens because you want to get back and play as soon as possible.
