Tony Mowbray has revealed he hopes to have new signings available to call upon before next Saturday's game at The Hawthorns against Everton (KO 3pm). Negotiations have been going on behind the scenes to bolster Albion's squad before the transfer windows shuts at the end of August, with Mowbray in a positive frame of mind.

"There are two weeks to go in the transfer window and we'll have added to and strengthened the team by the end of that," the Baggies boss said.

"We'll be a better unit going into the first few months of the season and I'm pretty sure we'll pick up points along the way.

"I would hope we get at least another four players in the next two weeks.

"Things are progressing very well on some of those players.

"Hopefully, by the middle of next week, we might have one or two additions.

"When I turn around and look at my bench at times I think we could do with some of the quality on the pitch sitting behind me and some better quality on the field.

"That's not being disrespectful to the players out there today.

"Every team in the world would like that.

"Let's wait and see what develops."
