Mowbray out to upset

Tony Mowbray is using his shock victories as Hibs manager against the Old Firm to inspire his current squad on the eve of their trip to Arsenal. The Albion manager upset the apple cart during his time north of the boarder beating Celtic 3-1 at Parkhead and Rangers twice 3-0 in the SPL and Scottish Cup.

Now Mowbray is hoping his current Baggies side can take heart from those results against Premiership outfits filled with quality - starting at The Emirates on Saturday (KO 12.45pm).

"When I was at Hibernian we won several times at Ibrox and Celtic Park against teams that were hugely bigger in size and better in quality of players," Mowbray said.

"It gives you hope to know, if you get it right on the day, you can beat a team that you've got no right to really.

"The players have got to believe that and we'll go there, despite them not losing a league game at home last season, believing that we can do it if we do our jobs on the day and everything goes right."

"You've got to have a gameplan.

"You need to picture how it's going to go and I can picture now that Arsenal have world class players and generally at home they dominate the ball against everyone.

"They will have lots of the ball and will move it to try and get into certain areas of the pitch.

"The players need to be aware of that and know what sort of passes they play.

"They need to know the transition from when they make a sloppy pass so you know where you're going with the ball very quickly and use the space they've left.

"If you can do that and everything works well and your player picks the pass you hope, someone scores a goal and all of a sudden you're 1-0 up.

"Then they go chasing the game and you do it again and you're 2-0 up.

"It can happen.

"Any team in the Premier League should be able to give the big four a good game on any given day."
