Albion chairman Jeremy Peace has granted exclusivity to one of the parties interested in buying his shares.

Peace has been in discussions with a number of interested parties about purchasing West Bromwich Albion Holdings Ltd in a deal which could be worth up £150m.

Parties from the US, China and Malaysia were all interested in opening discussions about purchasing Peace’s shares with the Chinese outfit reportedly now in advanced talks.

The move to exclusivity means a deal should be completed before the end of July with Albion set to have new owners before the start of the season.

In a statement published on the club’s website, Peace said any takeover discussions would not affect the club’s pre-season transfer activity.
