Albion chairman Jeremey Peace claims the club have had a successful summer in the transfer market.

Peace and his board of directors oversaw 11 new arrivals at The Hawthorns, including breaking the club’s transfer record when signing Brown Ideye for around £10m.

Other additions included England international Joelon Lescott, Greek international Georgios Samaras, and World Cup stars Cristian Gamboa, Jason Davidson and Silvestre Varela.

“We have brought players in, we have done business early and worked hard to get them in and tried to settle them,” he said.

“We have brought in good players, re-negotiated three senior players’ contracts and it’s a very content dressing room.

“But they are still hungry and they still want success.”
