Peace wants final push

Jeremy Peace has today asked everybody attached to West Bromwich Albion to give the club one final push as it aims to avoid relegation in the remaining ten games of the season.

The Baggies don't play until Monday night (KO 8pm) but could find themselves nine points from safety if relegation rivals pick-up valuable points.

The chairman is hoping a united front from the board, management team, players and fans alike can help the Baggies gain the points desperately needed in coming weeks.

"It's now all about one last massive push and it's crucial everyone sticks together," Peace said.

"Make no mistake, it's going to be incredibly difficult being where we are.

"But if everyone is focused we have still got a chance.

"That means the board, coaching staff, players and fans all pulling together with complete unity.

"The supporters have been fantastic so far.

"I think everyone was very down after the last game against Arsenal - myself included.

"There have been a few disappointments recently, like Fulham away, when maybe the performance wasn't what we expected following on from the Newcastle result.

"But that's now in the past and everyone has to look forward and give it one last effort to try to keep the club in the Premier League.

"We need a spark - and maybe that will come from the return of a fully fit Jonathan Greening and Jonas Olsson.

"If the coaching staff and players give it their all, with no quarter given, the fans will back them.

"As long as we get that, we can close the door on the season - whatever the outcome - knowing we've given it our best shot."
