Preparation the key for Albion boss

Darren Moore says Albion's 2-1 victory against Ipswich Town was their best performance away from The Hawthorns this season.

Goals from Jay Rodriguez and Harvey Barnes saw Albion run out worthy winners and temporarily move the Baggies back up to 2nd in the Championship.

The international break gave Darren Moore and his men some much needed time on the training ground and the Baggies boss reckons this paid off at Portman Road.

Moore said: “The boys set about it well and the week’s preparation paid off tonight.

“It was a tough away-day. We knew we had to perform to get three points.

“Going away from home and winning in this league can be difficult.

“I think [it was the best away performance of the season] but the big thing for me was the continuation from the Leeds game.

“It’s rewarding to follow that up with three points.

“It was a fast pitch and it played right into our hands.

“We used the ball well and created enough chances to win the game.

“Credit to the travelling fans, we’re delighted to send them back up with three points.”
