Pulis - Everton quality shone through

Tony Pulis reckons the extra quality in Everton's final third was the difference between the two side.

The league's 7th and 8th teams faced off at Goodison Park but it was the hosts who were comfortable winners after Kevin Mirallas, Morgan Schneiderlin and former loanee Romelu Lukuka all netted.

Pulis admits the hosts eased to victory but failed to criticise the effort of his players.

"Conceding the two goals before half-time killed us," he said.

"Before that we were in the game.

"Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley were outstanding. We created some opportunities. Our biggest problem in the last couple of weeks has been the little bit of quality we need with a final pass or shot or cross. Everton had that.

"Everton are the best team outside the top six. They've got real quality."
