Pulis takes blame for Arsenal defeat

Tony Pulis admits he should've rang the changes after Albion ended the season with a heavy 4-1 defeat at Arsenal.

The Baggies were 4-0 down at the break after Theo Walcott's hattrick and Jack Wilshere's goal of the season strike.

Gareth McAuley pulled one back with a header after the break but Pulls said afterwards he wished he had selected a different side to that which had beaten Chelsea on Monday night.

"If anybody needs to take any criticism then it's probably me.

"The Chelsea game took a lot out of the players and I maybe should have freshened it up a bit. There is always that dilemma as to whether you stick with the players who have got you results but obviously there is a chance they might have run out of steam a little bit.

"Of our last six games, four have been away. It's always easy to look back and say 'I should have done this, or should have done that...' but if anyone needs to take any blame then it's me.

"In the six games, we got 12 points which is fantastic. To play the way we did and get those results is excellent. Perhaps today was a game to far. I take the blame for that, I should have changed it."
