Baggies boss Tony Pulis again revealed his frustration at having to answer questions about the transfer window after witnessing Albion’s 3-2 defeat to champions Chelsea.

Pulis left striker Saido Berahino out of Albion’s matchday squad admist speculation linking the striker with a move to Spurs.

Without Berahino, Albion found themselves two goals down after James Morrison had missed an early penalty. The midfielder pulled a goal back before the Baggies fell for another suckerpunch minutes before half time.

Morrison then headed a second for Albion minutes after John Terry had saw red for fouling Jose Salomon Rondon on his full debut.

The striker then had a chance in the last minute which was block at close range before Jonas Olsson grazed the crossbar with a late header.

After the match all talk was about Berahino’s omission.

"Why are we talking about Saido today?" Pulis questioned.

"We're talking about Saido because of the transfer window.

"The transfer window is absolutely ridiculous.

"For it to be going through at the start of the season I find just ridiculous.

"Everybody should be talking about the game and this wouldn't be an issue or a problem.

"Saido's a great lad and it happens where it can be disruptive and it has been disruptive.

"I had a good chat with him yesterday.

"He's fine, but it's the transfer window that causes the problem."
