Tony Mowbray has revealed discussions with in-demand left-back Paul Robinson have revealed the defender's commitment to the Baggies. Robinson has been the centre of media speculation since the transfer window opened at the start of January. However Albion boss Tony Mowbray claims Robinson's preferred avenue to the Premiership will be via promotion with his current teammates.

Robinson is currently serving a two-match suspension after receiving his second sending off of the campaign during the 3-1 victory over Hull. The former Watford full-back collected a disputed second caution in 74th minute meaning he misses Tuesday's FA Cup replay against Charlton (KO 19.45pm) and Saturday's Championship clash against an in-form Cardiff City (KO 3pm) side.

"I've had a good conversation with Paul," Mowbray said.

"He is very focused and determined to make sure this club gets out of this league.

"We've addressed the speculation.

"Hopefully, we can put it to bed and get on with it."
