Albion cruised to a 2-0 win at Ninian Park against the Championship side that included former Baggies Darren Purse and Jason Koumas.

Kanu put Albion in front on 14 minutes and Thomas Gaardsoe added a second 20 minutes from the end.

"We faced quality opposition in Sevilla, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon, who are playing in Europe this year," Robson told the clubs official website after the game.

"We knew they would be tough tasks for us but those games showed where we've got to improve if we want to challenge these teams and that also goes for sides in the middle of our division.

"We've got to try and get to that standard, so it was good to play those teams.

"But it is also good to get back, get a clean sheet and win."
