"I was very pleased with the overall display. Some of the passing and movement was as good as it has been since I arrived at the club," he said after the game at the Hawthorns.

"But I felt that two penalty decisions went against us. Darren Purse said he did not touch Jermain Defoe for Tottenham's penalty.

"I did, however, feel that we should have had a penalty when Rob Earnshaw was hauled back in front of goal.

"But, overall, I've got to be pleased with how we played. The team have set their own standards now and it's up to them to maintain them."
